Graeme Dingle Foundation

Tauranga Sunrise club supports the Graeme Dingle Foundation annually with funds raised by our Treasured Art Auction.

The Graeme Dingle Foundation inspires young people across New Zealand to realise potential through school and community-based programs that help to build self-esteem, promote good values and teach valuable life, education and health skills.

RYPEN

RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) is a fun residential weekend where the participants participate in a range of outdoor activities designed to build their self worth in a way that they can value themselves.

Our club sponsors a number of students to go along, as well as offering volunteer support at the camp.

RYLA

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) is a youth program aimed at developing leadership.

Participants can enhance their networks by joining a group of emerging leaders. This involves connecting with fellow Rotarians, meeting various local leaders, attending seminars and group activities desitged to develop their personal growth and leadership of others.

RYDA

RYLA (Rotary Youth Driver Awareness) is an initiative that aims to deliver coordinated, updated and practical road safety information to school students who have recently or are in the process of obtaining their driving license.

The key aim is to influence the attitude of young people and inform them of their respon­sibilities when driving or riding in a vehicle, thereby assisting our community in achieving a reduction in deaths and injuries on our roads.

Rotary Youth Exchanges

Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time.

Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. Exchanges for students ages 15-19 are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries.

Rotary National Science and Technology Forum

The Forum is a 14-day program organised and operated by Rotary,  University of Auckland, AUT and Massey University.

The program is aimed at high achieving, well-rounded science, maths and technology students in Year 12 at New Zealand Secondary Schools who will be returning to Year 13 and plan to study science or technology subjects at tertiary level in New Zealand.
